What information or advice would you give other caregivers?

I would say if you can get online or go to the library for information, do it. Also, get all the information you can from the assisted living centers that you are looking at. Talk to the people who have been there, or that had a loved one there that can tell you more. They have a different perspective. Talk to a financial planner to work out a plan regarding payments and money issues. People need to know that they are not alone – so many people go through this. You need to find someone who has been through it to lean on for guidance. It is much easier than being alone.
